SPRING BREAK

Julie and I decided to go to St George for a few days while the kids were on spring break. Jordan had already gone to California with his friend, justin and family. He had a great time - went to six flags, sea world, laguna beach and went to see 'wicked' - which he thought was fantastic (what a jammy dodger!!!)

We all drove down in jub's van - thank goodness she has tv in there - never really heard a peep from jax or lauren - eyes glued to the tv for almost the whole trip down. Madi was a great help with millie too - and so julie and i had a bit of piece and quiet apart from the two of us belting out carrie underwood and celine dion songs ( i think we could be the next american idol!!)

We had a great time just hanging out at the pool, laughing, eating and simply relaxing. Reed joined us on tuesday afternoon and then on wednesday we took a trip to Zions - we had to take a slight detour because millie had an explosion (if you know what i mean) - we had to head back to hurricane to buy her some new clothes - poor thing! Once we got to Zions it was incredible - Reed and i had been there before with madi and jordy so this was the first time for lauren and julie and the kids. it's truly an amazing place.
Emerald Pools

We did a couple of hikes, one to the emerald pools - We had an encounter with a little lizard who was peacefuly taking a nap - of course my girls were oogiling over how cute he was and wanted jax to see - he thought it was cute also - that is until he decided to move - then he was totally "freaked" out - the rest of the hike we had to assure him that he was simply going off for a nap - infact it was naptime for all the snakes and lizards & they wouldn't be out til nightime - i don't think he bought it - he is so cute & such a crackup!
Reed carried millie in the back pack on that hike and the next - riverside walk - she never made a sound and took a couple of naps - a few times i wished i could crawl in a backpack on his back too! we had a great time - can't wait to go again - when the lizards are taking a nap of course!

We also took a drive up Kolob Canyon - Here are a couple of pictures at the top.

so I'm joining the world of blogging - this is all new to me but I'll give it a go at the request of my sister! I think this might be fun - probably not too interesting to anyone else but my kids will enjoy it!! Jordan is 16 (need I say more?!) - he is a junior, loves tennis, reading, the xbox, his i pod of course and who could forget the cell phone and texting!!

madison is 12 and a complete animal lover - the 2 cats - henry and freddy are like her babies - if she takes care of her kids one day as half as good as she takes care of these 2 she will be a great mother - she also loves to read, watch movies, hang out with her friends - she will go to junior high in the fall and went into young womens this past september and loves it!!

lauren is our first grader - she is 7 - she has taken off with reading also and we are reading amelia jane each night together before bed. she loves animals too - she is happy go lucky and has a great imagination - she loves swimming and riding her scooter - this week she lost another tooth - there's nothing like that toothless grin!!

MS Walk

This is the gang at the ms walk in salt lake - it was an all girl thing this year - reed had to work & jordan was in california for spring break with his friend justin & family. we've been doing this ever since i was diagnosed with ms 4 years ago - it's great to be out there with everyone supporting research & awareness for this disease - it's good to see everyone and know that you're not alone - there are others who know exactly how you feel. I'm so blessed to have the support of friends and family - especially reed - what would i do without him - and i know i could have it a loss worse than others - my life has changed a little through this but i'm positive about things - no point being all doom and gloom i say. maybe soon they'll come up with a cure or even come up with a pill to take instead of shots - won't that be great when it happens!!

it was great fun to be with all the girls - madi, lauren, mum, jub and thanks to millie i had her stroller to hang on to - (you know the balance issues ) - maybe i'll just make a tshirt that says "no i'm not drunk i have ms!"

anyway it seems each year that this is getting bigger and bigger which is great - there's also one in provo so reed wants to do that one since he missed out this time - see ya there!!
